Product challenge day 1: Setting your goals

Are you ready to take this 5-day challenge and create your first information product?

Don’t let this be something you read and dream about but never actually do. 

I promise that you can create an Information product in 5 days if you put your mind to it, plan well, and make it your mission to succeed no matter what.

Before you do anything in business, I think it’s very important to set goals

I put a lot of effort into product creation, but I don’t just create products without a clear vision. 

I don’t create products just because I want to create them… 

I create products because I know my audience needs them. 

I create them because they’ll help me achieve my goals for helping people and for growing my business.

I have very solid goals I want to reach. I have financial goals I want to reach as well as production goals I want to reach.

For example, I typically put out one larger product per month that focuses on a specific need I’ve identified in my audience. 

I also tend to create a few smaller products per month.

These smaller products may take only a day or two to create, but they help people and they are usually very profitable…

Now it’s time to set your own goals.

Does this goal seem easy or difficult for you? 

Hopefully, by the time you finish reading through this challenge, it will seem like a piece of cake to create a product in a few days. Even if it seems like a stretch goal right now, give it a try and get excited about it because I really think you can do it.

I know you can do it.

You can also create monetary goals….

How much money do you want to earn from this product and by when? 

You might make it your goal to earn $100 from this product by the end of the week or month. 

That’s not out of the question as far as earnings go, even if you’re brand-new.

I know, you might be thinking right now that working a few days for just $100 is sort of “not worth it”, but trust me, it is.

First of all, you might make a lot more than that, and besides, if it’s your first product, it will be the start of something much larger. 

Let me explain…

If you “only” make 10 or 20 sales, now you have those names on your email list. You can market to them your future products. 

You can develop a relationship with them, possibly one of them will become an affiliate and bring you more sales now or later.

You’ve also gotten your feet wet with product creation, and have experience and hopefully confidence. 

For your next product, let’s say that it takes you less time, you make more sales, and your list grows, as does your affiliate “army”.

So while you might be hoping to make a thousand sales on your first product, don’t get discouraged if you don’t. Whatever it is, it’s the start of something much bigger and much greater.

If you already have some connections like a list, a social media presence, a blog or website, and things like that, then you can absolutely earn more. You can earn even more than that if you have affiliates you can tap into for promotions.

And… if you have a coach or a mentor or some network friends maybe they can help you get off to a fast start.

And… for your second product, if it’s in the same niche as your first one, perhaps you can put your first product in your sales funnel as a one time offer, giving buyers a special discount since they purchased your new product. 

Set some goals and figure out how you might achieve those goals.

How much money do you want to earn from your new product by the end of the month? How about by the end of the year?

Remember, a good product will continue to sell well beyond the initial short launch window, it could sell forever. 


You could repurpose it. 

If you start by selling it as a product on the WarriorPlus, Clickbank, and many other similar platforms, or even on your website, you can reformat it and list it later as a Kindle book for Amazon, getting sales every month.

To resume, the possibilities are endless.

And, since you’re building an email list from your sales, you might be able to market other complementary affiliate products that the people on that list might benefit from, earning you affiliate commissions.

If you could earn $1,000 from your “one 5 days product” by the end of the year that would certainly be worth it, right? 

It only took a few days to complete, after all. 

Now, what if you created one of these every week? 

That would net you a fantastic income that would only go up from there.

You can also set goals for how many products you want to create over time.

How many products do you want to create this month? 

How many products do you want to create this year?

To answer that question for yourself, you can think about it in terms of how much money you want to earn. 

If you expect to earn $1,000 or $2,000 or $3,000 a year from each product you create, how much money do you want to earn in a year? 

From there, you can figure out how many products you should create… And that will be your production goal.

Obviously, not all products can be created in just 5 days. 

The more extensive products might take longer – but might be much more profitable over time. 

This one 5-day challenge is just the beginning of where you might take your info-product business.


Make plans for yourself and your business. 

Maybe you want to create these 5 days products to use as list builders. 

You can give small (but very valuable) products away for free to grow your list.

You can sell your higher-end products, and promote products as an affiliate. 

The results…

All of your efforts will work to increase your income in combination.

Goal setting can be a lot of fun because it allows you to tap into your dreams and to wrap some reality around them. 

These don’t have to be ‘just dreams’ anymore. If you take action and create products and really build your business, then your dreams can become real.

Set goals for how many affiliates you want to have onboard, as affiliates are fantastic because you can leverage the followers that established marketers already have. Even if you don’t have a list yourself, affiliates who do have a list will promote your products. 

You’ll get their buyers on your list and make sales even as a new product creator.

Consider whether there are Join Ventures opportunities out there for you and what goals you have for those opportunities. 

Perhaps you could partner with someone more established than yourself. 

To resume it…

If you can create products like crazy, then there are plenty of people who will want to work with you and partner with you.


Visualize what you want to come from this. 

See yourself easily getting it all done even if you’ve never done it before.

Don’t just keep your goals in your head, though. 

It’s important to write your goals down. 


Write your goals down very specifically so you can start to wrap your mind around making them happen.

During this first day, take the time to set goals. Figure out exactly what you want to accomplish and by when. Stretch yourself a little – go outside of your comfort zone.

Also, make plans for how you’ll spend your day. 

This 5-day challenge is designed to give you a guideline, but you can make it into whatever you need or want it to be.

Do your research and figure out what your audience needs and wants. 

Choose which product you’re going to create and how you’re going to make yours stand apart from others. 


That since you’re creating a product in just 5 days, this won’t be something general; it’ll be something very specific.

Also, make sure it will be something profitable. Don’t choose a topic just because it’s popular – make sure it’s something people are spending money on. Then, put your own unique twist on it.

Do not delay or make up excuses, and remember, if you stick with this challenge, in 5 days, you will have a micro-business model ready to start.
